"We will work together to reach your goals to meet your specific mental health needs"
I am a doctoraly-trained, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and am licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Washington State. I received my Bachelor of Nursing Science diploma (2013) from Seattle University and then my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (2020) from University of Washington. I have six years of experience working as a registered nurse for inpatient mental health. Most recently I was employed at University of Washington Medical Center and have also been employed at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Fairfax Hospital.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse population that have a range of mental health needs, including but not limited to, substance use disorder, mood disorders, eating disorders, and anxiety disorders.
My treatment approach includes that the client and provider work together to reach specific goals to meet the client’s specific mental health needs. I view medication as a tool within the toolbox of mental health interventions. Medication management will be tailored to client needs. Counseling is another tool that when used together with medication can have very positive results. Engagement is counseling will be heavily encouraged if your needs indicate it would be helpful. Being in the LGBQTTSI+ community I want to offer a safe space for those who identify as gender or sexual minority.
