“I provide a non-judgmental, safe place for you to explore the changes that are healthiest and doable for you”

I know how much strength it requires to make the decision to seek a therapist, and it can be even more challenging to find one you feel is a good fit for you. I believe it’s important to make time for mental self-care just like you would schedule a workout at the gym or a physical check-up. Sometimes we all need a little extra help or an outside perspective. My goal is that you will feel welcomed, accepted, and validated by being your true self with me. If you are seeking to heal toxic patterns or to implement positive changes toward new growth, I provide a non-judgmental, safe place for you to explore the changes that are healthiest and doable for you. I am a skilled listener who offers unconditional positive regard, compassion, and hope.

I have experience working with adults, young adults, adolescents, families, and groups consisting of individuals that might be struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, codependence, abuse, trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, communication, and mental illness of all kinds. My approach is eclectic and holistic including Systems theory, Strengths-based theory, and Humanistic theory. I offer a variety of treatment modalities including Client-centered therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing and more depending on your needs. I am flexible and will check in with you regularly regarding what does or does not work for you.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University and my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Western Washington University. I am currently an LSWAIC in Washington state and a member of the National Association of Social Workers WA. I am also certified in Hypnotherapy.

When the sun is out, you will find me hiking a trail or kayaking on a lake. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and I stay involved in the community. I have traveled to the Guatemalan Highlands twice on interfaith stove-building trips with Hands for Peacemaking.

Individual Counseling

Each of us is situated within various systems and cultures (family, job, neighborhood, school, church, etc.) that influence who have become and how we view the world around us. My mission is to understand your viewpoint as we partner to help you feel better. At your own pace, I will help you gain insight, improve resilience, and stay focused on your goals. I encourage healthy coping skills and self-care to improve your ability to function. I advocate for setting healthy boundaries, building self-awareness, and finding balance in your life so you feel empowered to not only survive but to thrive!
