Licensed Mental Health Counselor

“I am here to support you through your individual path towards growth and healing”

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Washington University who has been offering mental health services to our local community since 2019 in a variety of settings. I have counseled clients from diverse walks of life, and have experience with children, adolescents, and adults. One of my most impactful previous work experiences was working with transition-aged youth. This created a passion for working with adolescents and young adults navigating change and making the transition to adulthood. While I work with clients encountering a variety of challenges, some passion points of mine include: life transitions, self-esteem, relational issues, difficult childhood experiences, anxiety, body-image, and disordered-eating.

My therapeutic work comprises person-centered and emotion-focused approaches. At the cornerstone of my theoretical orientation, is the belief that human beings are inherently trustworthy and possess an intrinsic ability to move towards healing when they are supported in doing so. Attachment theory greatly informs my approach in sessions, as our early life experiences and bonds significantly impact how we interact with others and the world around us. I am also fascinated by neurobiology and often bring this into our sessions to facilitate a greater understanding of the mechanisms of the mind and body. We may also utilize various evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to better identify the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Furthermore, I hold a 200 hr yoga teacher certification which influences my practice through the use of somatic experiencing and embodiment exercises when appropriate.

Individual Counseling

We all have a unique story that requires unique interventions. As your therapist I am here to provide a caring and trusting environment to assist you in your own self-exploration and problem solving with a bit of professional help along the way. From the first session, my focus is establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. Then we’ll work together to explore what tools and techniques are fitting to you and your life story that may help you reach your personal goals, overcome presenting challenges and mend past scars.

Adolescence is a transformative time that does not come without challenges. Exploring self-identity, gaining independence, navigating unfamiliar roles, and forming new relationships is not an easy feat! I am here to provide a non-judgmental, collaborative, and caring space to teens. We will work together to identify personal strengths and foster resiliency to life’s challenges. A family-systems approach also informs my work as we are inextricably connected with others in our immediate environment. Whatever your current life circumstance may be, I am here to meet you where you are at.
