Art and Mindfulness
Forgiveness | Acceptance | Transformation
You Will Be Guided By
Alana Karsch MA LMHC
Alana has always been surrounded by the arts. She grew up dancing and putting on plays for her very patient family members, and hasn’t stopped creating since! Her graduate degree calls upon art, dance, drama, writing, and music as catalysts for healing. Photography and dance have been modalities she has relied on in her own life for personal growth and healing, and she enjoys playing with watercolors from time to time as a meditation practice. She believes mindfulness and art are powerful ways to cultivate a healthy and balanced life, full of self-expression and ways to slow down and soak up all that life offers us. Witnessing people express themselves creatively is a joy she never tires of.
How It Will Help You
So often we are experts at helping others feel loved, supported, and heard, and our own needs go unmet. It can be so hard to find the balance between doing for others and doing for ourselves. This workshop will help you unearth creative and grounded ways of doing self-care in your everyday life so you aren’t feeling neglected and lost in this busy world! We will use a combination of abstract art pieces, writing and mindfulness practices to explore and practice self-compassion and self-care. You will experience feeling supported and held by the group to be your best, healthiest self! Come ready to learn practical, creative tools that you can use to nurture yourself long after the workshop has ended. Take some time for you! You are worth it.
